Some HIV-positive patients experience a decline in renal function while receiving anti-HIV medications. Kamara et al used several definitions to define rapid progression of a decline in renal function. The authors are members of the D:A:D study group, named for Data Collection on Adverse Events of Anti-HIV Drugs.
